Computers are programme to play chess. They are getting better and better and soon may beat the world champion.

all a computer really knows is on and off, (the binary coding it uses to run 0 being off and 1 being on) so really a computer has to be told what to do, they were programmed to be awesome at chess by running algorthms and moves. The computer doesnt know that it is playing chess, it is just solving equations.

May be in few years they may get that faster. But it requires a humman brain to code it that way !!!
