What are different forms of computers?

I'm supposed to make a collage of 10 different types of computers. If you don't really understand my question I mean computers can be considered different things like calculators, clocks, or alarm systems. At least thats what my teacher told me.

The definition of a computer (literally) is any machine capable of following a set of instructions ...so....

Knitting machine (some take a punched card type of pattern)

Sewing machine - they follow instructions to create the different stitch patterns

Jaquard Loom - used to make fabrics.. actually the first punched-card programmable machine - it put thousands out of work and caused riots which eventually cost the inventor his life.

Video Recorder - you can program the recording schedule

Microwave oven - often have multi - step cooking etc.

Automatic Car Transmission - It is able to determine when to change gears according to rules; in fact it uses ''hydraulic logic''.

Modern Self-tuning Television - It locates and stores channels according to rules about what a TV signal looks like.

Hopefully this will give you some ideas; the acid test is ''Is this thing following a set of instructions'' - sometimes it isnt easy to tell, but if you can provide an argument that it is following instructions and not that a person is guiding every operation, then you can argue that it is a computer.
