What happens after you use your 5 computers for iTunes?

I remember when I switched my iTunes to another computer it said ''you have now used 2 of your 5 allowed computers'' or something, but what do they mean?

What happens when you use all 5 computers? Why is this rule in place?

Thanks,

iTunes purchases are protected content and Apple limits their use to 5 Authorized Computers. (iPods don't count)

This excerpt from the iTunes Help:

To play purchases from the iTunes Store, you must authorize your computer using your iTunes Store account and password. (Authorization helps protect the copyrights of the purchased items.)

You can authorize up to five computers (Macintosh, Windows, or both) at a time. To play a purchased item on a sixth computer, you need to deauthorize another one. An iPod doesn't count as a computer.

You can authorize or deauthorize a computer at any time. Be sure to deauthorize a computer before you sell it or give it away.

Here are ways to authorize or deauthorize a computer:

鈻?To authorize a computer to play iTunes Store purchases, choose Store %26gt; Authorize Computer.

鈻?To deauthorize a computer, choose Store %26gt; Deauthorize Computer.

So, Apple does this so you can't buy songs and then give them to all your friends. Only 5. ;-)

It's just to stop people from sharing lots of music. It dosen't matter that much.
Thats the accont, duh. You can only have the same account on up to 5 comps. That doesnt really matter though!
