Computers are very complicated, but they must satisfy a few criteria:



1. They must be able to store data



2. They must be able to access and display this data on some sort of output device (usually a screen)



3. They must have user progammable functions (ie they have to process the data in the way you want them to)



4. They must have an input device to satisfy 3. (A Keyboard)



A true 'Turing Machine' can store an infinite amount of data so no modern computer is a 'real computer' (by the definition of Alan Turing- one of the fathers of computing) but an infinit amount of data is just silly isnt it?
