Depends how crappy they are. If one is a Compaq you may have compatibility problems
If you put the parts of two crappy computers together you will get a really crappy computer. If you mean that one computer has some parts that are better than the same type of parts in the other then yes it may make it better. How will you know which one will be the recipient of the parts if they are both crappy?
As long as all the parts are compatible with each other.
You "might" be able to "cannibalize" and put the memory of one in the other ... if they are of compatible types. You can probably move the hard drive from one to the other.
You can define Crappy for us. There may be hope.
Are they crappy because they didn't have enouogh memory, or are they obsolete systems (486, early pentium?)
My son had a "Crappy" 550mhz PII system. we took the 32 meg memory chips out and put in 512 megs and he didn't think it was anywhere near as crappy as it was.
My Daughter said her Celeron D 1.6 Ghz system was Crappy, So I put in 512 megs more of memory in hers, and now she knows it's not crappy. And She's happy.
So, Crappy is relative.
We need a little more information to be able to really help.
Take Care,
Keith
